Sandy Fork, Texas

Between Austin and San Antonio is the small Texas town of Sandy Fork. With a population of less than a thousand, the rolling prairies have local dissections and escarpments and are surfaced by clay and fine, sandy loams that support hardwood pine, scrub brush, and grasses.

If you go from Austin toward San Antonio and take a side trip, you may drive through Sandy Fork, Texas. This quiet, small Texas town offers prosperous ranches and local products like honey and beef. The very essence of Sandy Fork is that rich Texas style and hospitality that you read about or see in movies. The expansive landscapes run for miles in all directions, giving you the feeling of lands still yet to be conquered and the possibility of meeting new friends.
