POEM: Triumphs and Tragedies
History, a tale of power, struggle and might,
Written by those who wield a pen,
A journey of steering the flight,
Of those who die, and those who win.
Victors boast their praise,
Their glory forever enshrined,
While the vanquished, they are erased,
Their memory lost, their fate resigned.
Empires are built, and empires stall,
A a pattern in a single line,
The mighty, never see The fall,
But soon they tumble from their climb.
From Soviet Russia to the Ottomans,
To empires of the east,
Their stories are etched in stone,
Their legacy, an endless historical feast.
Forget us not the past,
The future shapes we see,
Our chronicle, we oblige fast,
Create a better future, lest it may flee.
